Coach Rich Beaupit is the Founder and Head Coach of Straight Blast Gym Niagara , proudly known as Niagara’s most beginner-friendly martial arts gym . With over 40 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for helping people grow stronger— on and off the mats— Rich has dedicated his career to empowering both kids and adults through martial arts, self- defense, and personal development.

He is the creator of the S.A.F.E. Bully Proofing System , a proven, practical, and compassionate approach to preventing bullying through awareness, confidence, and communication. This program has been taught from Grade 1 through University and is recognized as the only BullyProofing System taught continuously for 34 years in both the public and Catholic school boards . Through S.A.F.E., Coach Rich has empowered over 31,000 young people and adults to stand tall, handle conflict with confidence, and treat others with respect.

At SBG Niagara, Rich continues that mission daily. His teaching style blends technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, striking, and self-defense with life lessons that build better humans. Under his leadership, SBG Niagara has become a true tribe— where beginners, families, and competitors train side- by- side, united by the shared goal of becoming 1% better every day .

Coach Rich also leads the Growing Gorillas Martial Arts and Life Skills Program , designed to help kids develop focus, respect, and perseverance through fun, challenging, and structured martial arts training. Parents absolutely love how the program positively influences their children.
